ack before i knew it i forgot to eat for a couple days and i lost a lost of weight Σ(°ロ°)! on one hand i look super cute ┐(︶▽︶)┌ but on the other hand that means ive definetely lost some of the muscle and stamina i worked so hard to build ┐(︶▽︶|||)┌ training is totally gonna suck.
im kinda just letting the days go by *david byrne intensifies* i should cook something delicious, that'll probably fix me. but my bed is so warm and somft and has my computer right next to it... Its like that one scene in Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep, theres a machine that can produce any emotion in yourself that you'd like, at the push of a button. Theres even a button that gives you motivation. But if you dont have any motivation to use the machine, then you're stuck.
recently ive tried to get into Katekyo Hitman Reborn, i remember my onee san used to like it back in the early 2000's, and its okayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy but it takes like 60 manga chapters for the plot to start like -_____________________- but ive finally got to the part where i understand the baseline terminology, and i can finally get to the best part of consuming a new media.

reading a scientific paper about nerve regrowth (Axon Regeneration in the Peripheral and Central Nervous Systems, Huebner & Strittmatter 2009) (thats not the correct way to reference a paper but whatever) and, ive just been caught up in this one sentence, they've damaged one of the nerves of a mouse so that they can study how its body naturally regenerates, but after that they use the phrase 'the animal was sacrificed'. i dont know. maybe thats a common turn of phrase in papers like this. it just, its strikingly emotive to me. it brings forth images of religion, a haruspex in anicient rome sacrificing animals for greater knowledge. i dont know. The sciatic nerve was crushed at the mid-thigh on one side of an adult mouse. Seven days later, the animal was sacrificed. The use of third person to make it impersonal, it clashes with the deeply visceral use of sacrifice. this was an act of killing in exchange for something. a less stirring phrase like 'put down' might have just as easily been used. the animal was sacrificed. blood was spilled here. this was in hopes of something greater than the weight of the creature's life on a scale. its, purposeful, active language. the animal was sacrificed.

I'm back! And heh, not to brag, but I actually took a cybersecurity course in south korea while I was away! So I guess I truly am a totally l33t hacker now *smug face*
... I wish. *sigh* the professor taught us about the blockchain. it was really cool! but I ended up skipping classes a lot to sleep off hangovers after going clubbing.
bleh I feel like I'm giving off a really unreliable impression of myself ^^; but whatever. The clubbing in Seoul is awesome! its way better than the nightlife scene in my tiny town, but maybe its just cos I was on vacation that I had a better time. But!! if youre ever in seoul youve GOTTA go to this club (its either in itaewon or hongdae...) called Fountain, it RUULLLLLLLLLEZZZ !!!! Great music, super packed, and tons of hot guys and cute girls~ They also have a drink there named after my favourite kdrama, Cheese in the Trap, but BE CAREFUL it comes with a lil crispy disc of fried cheese! which was not a selling point for me but I guess some people might like that?

Day one, I've just made this neocities page ^-^. I hope that kaomoji wont wreck the html. I really dont understand how this fucking works urghhnnnn and I'm beginning to suspect that the neocities edit tool has a 10min lag, because when i made an edit then view the page nothing happens, and then BAM fuckin years later the preveiw of the page has changed. not the actual page though. cry.
